Join Us for Dine in the Vines

a unique Mesa Land Trust Event at

Red Fox Vineyard

Spend an evening enjoying the private Red Fox Vineyard in Palisade with local wines from Carlson Vineyards and Garfield Estates.  A rustic family style dinner featuring local produce, cheese and Western Slope prime rib inspired by the bounty of local farms will be prepared by Chef John Barbier of Le Rouge.  Tours of the vineyard and culinary garden will be led by our gracious hosts, Ken and Kathryn Stubler.  Enjoy a stroll around the vineyards overlooking the conservation efforts of local farmers and Mesa Land Trust.  John Schultz will provide music and a silent art auction will run through the evening.  Further information on the art auction can be found below.

Due to the intimate atmosphere of the evening tickets will be limited to 80 guests.  Tickets are $130, donation to Mesa Land Trust, and are available at Mesa Land Trust at 1006 Main Street or by calling 970-263-5443.

Please note that dinner will be held, rain or shine and please bring appropriate accoutrements (extra layer, sweater, sturdy shoes).  Thank you to our generous host and underwriters, Red Fox Vineyards; Hoskin, Farina & Kampf; CSD; Karen Madsen of Merrill Lynch.

Fine Art, a special feature of Dine in the Vines

Work by three award winning western Colorado artists will be available in a silent auction. The artists, Malcolm Childers, photoartist; Charles Morris, painter portraitist; and George Callison, outdoor painter have generously offered half of the purchase price of these fine art pieces to Mesa Land Trust.  Birthdays, holidays, and other special occasions will be even more special with the gift of fine art.  Their work all blossoms from their knowledge, respect, and love of our area and its peoples.

Malcolm has an assortment of truly wonderful pieces shaped by his experiences and crafted with utmost care.  He is famous for his emotionally evocative and nostalgic images, poetry, and musical soundtracks that capture magical places and days gone by.  Seven pieces of Malcolm’s work will be available.  They can be viewed here and will be available for personal viewing at the event.

Charles and George are doing something singular; they offer their services to create a painting of your choice.  This provides an opportunity for a unique heirloom --a fine art painting portrait of a family member or friend; a favorite view, a fishing or hunting expedition, a golf match, a great crop, the old house, fun times with the kids or grandkids, or anything of your choice.   Examples of their work can be seen here and samples will be available for your viewing at the dinner.

Don’t pass this chance for your family, your legacy. Examples of their work are available here and will be available at the event for your personal viewing.
